Children accepted secrecy about job

What happens on the job, stays on the job.

Connie Whateley, who had high-level security clearance when she worked for NASA in Houston, couldn't share even the smallest details of her job with family or friends. The story would be the same when she returned to her native South Jersey to work for RCA Corp. in Moorestown.

Even now, the four surviving children know little about what their mother did for a living.

Whateley, a Camden native who died last month at 67, once flashed her photo identification badge for RCA employees with restricted access. Stamped across it were the words: "TOP SECRET."...FULL ARTICLE.
